A home loan helps you buy a ready or under-construction house or flat, build on a plot you own, or sometimes extend or renovate a home. The property is usually mortgaged to the lender until the loan is repaid, and the lender pays for only part of the property's value; the rest is your own contribution.
Home loan products from lenders
No lender's product of this kind is listed yet. Products appear here only with details checked on the lender's own published pages.
What lenders usually look at
- Steady income, and how much of it already goes to other EMIs
- Credit history and credit score
- Age, and the years of work left over the loan term
- The property: clear title, approvals, and the lender's own valuation
- A co-applicant's income, when one is added
General guidance, not any lender's rules. Each lender sets its own criteria.
Papers lenders commonly ask for
- Identity and address proof (for example Aadhaar, PAN, passport or voter ID), as the lender asks
- PAN card
- Recent photographs
- Income proof: recent salary slips, Form 16 or bank statements for salaried applicants; income tax returns and business or professional records for the self-employed
- Property papers: sale agreement or allotment letter, title documents, approved building plan and, for a new project, the builder's papers the lender asks for
Share documents only through the lender's official channels. Finobazaar does not ask for them with an inquiry.
Before you sign
- Fixed and floating rates behave differently: ask which one applies and how a floating rate is reset.
- Compare the total cost, not only the interest rate: processing fee, other charges and taxes are added to what you pay.
- For an under-construction property, ask how the loan is paid out in stages and what you pay before possession.
- Ask how prepayment, part-payment and foreclosure work and whether any charge applies to your loan.
- Have the property's title checked independently; the lender's check protects the lender.
- Ask the lender for the key fact statement or sanction letter and read the rate, all charges, the repayment schedule and what happens if you pay late, before you sign.

Questions
How much home loan can I get?
It depends on your income, your other EMIs, the property's value and each lender's rules. The loan eligibility calculator gives a rough estimate from your figures; only the lender can say what it will offer.
Does Finobazaar give home loans?
No. Finobazaar is not a lender. It lists lenders' published information and, if you ask, helps with your inquiry. The lender decides on any application.
Have a question about this loan?
Send an inquiry and a member of the Finobazaar team will call you back. It is not a loan application: nothing is sent to a lender unless you agree.
