Find the IFSC and MICR code of a bank branch, look up a branch by bank and place, and go on to PIN codes and post offices. Every list on these pages names its source.

Search by IFSC code

Find a bank branch

Fill in what you know. With a bank and a place only, you get that list of branches; add a branch name or locality to search.

No. The list is shown as stored; it is not checked live, branch by branch, against the Reserve Bank of India or the banks.

A branch in the list is not proof that it is open today. Before a large transfer, confirm the IFSC with your bank or on the cheque book, or the IFSC/MICR search of the Reserve Bank of India.

Finobazaar is not a bank and does not run any branch. PIN codes and post offices come from the postal list of the PIN code tool, with its own source; a bank branch and a post office are not assumed to share an address.

Frequently asked questions

What can I do on the banking tools page?

Use IFSC code search, Bank branch search, Bank branch directory, IFSC codes by state and district, PIN code search, Post office search and Location directory. Each tool opens the page of the module that holds the data, so the addresses you already know keep working.

How do I find a bank branch by city or district?

In "Find a bank branch", choose the state, then the district, or type the city or town, and add the bank if you know it. With a bank, state and district only, you get that bank's full branch list for the district. You can also start from a state below and pick a district to see every bank there.

Are the bank branch details on Finobazaar verified?

They are shown as stored from the branch list named on each page. They are not checked live or one by one against the Reserve Bank of India or the bank, and being listed does not show that a branch is open today. You can verify a code with your bank, on the cheque book, or in the IFSC/MICR search of the Reserve Bank of India.

What should I do if the IFSC search finds nothing?

Check the code: an IFSC has 11 characters, and the fifth is always zero (not the letter O). For a branch, use fewer words, try the bank's short name (SBI, PNB, BOB) or another spelling of the town, and remove the city or district filter. A code that is not in the list may be new, changed or closed; ask the bank, and do not guess a code for a transfer.

Does a bank branch have the same PIN code as the nearest post office?

Not necessarily. Branch pages link to the PIN codes of the same district only, because the bank list and the postal list are separate. For the PIN code of an address, use PIN code search, and check the branch address with the bank.
