Frequently asked questions

How does the planner work out the plan?

Month by month it adds each debt's interest (rate a year ÷ 12), pays every minimum, then sends the extra amount and the minimums of cleared debts to the first open debt: the smallest balance (snowball) or the highest rate (avalanche).

What if my payments do not cover the interest?

The planner says so instead of showing a plan, because the debts would never be repaid at those payments.
